1.The pictures sparked emotional to me because the people in the pictures looked tired, worn out, dirty, and unhappy. They never smiled in any of the pictures and they also looked very worried about going to a new land that they knew nothing about. Although some of the people might know a little bit about it if the women had husbands that were already there before them, and told them a little bit about the new land that they were coming to.
2.They probebly wanted to leave their home country because they wanted to be more free and explore a new country that they didn't know to much about.For them to be free means that they didn't want for people to tell them how to do things, of to even have more land for there familys or farms. For some familys if the womens husband went to the new country before the rest of the family came they probebly wanted to be closer to him again if they miss him.
3.They wanted to have a better life, better oppertunitys,better jobs,to ecape famines, and ecape religous persicution. They wanted to explore a new land, and to have more land and freedom.
4.They found out about Wisconson from maybe other people that went to Wisconson and then came make to their main land, and told them about Wisconson. Or even if they didn't come back to their home land ( main land mentioned upward in the paragraph up there) they would right letters to them about Wisconson. Also another way they could have found out about Wisconson was in an add in the newspaper written by the goverment.
